Wasserhounds Brewery of Virginia Beach Promotes Service Against Suicide

On November 10, right before Veteran's Day, at least one Tuesday will not be all about tacos for a local Laskin area restaurant.

Wasserhounds Brewery will be donating 30% sales of all orders between the hours of 5p and 10pm to the Virginia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Founded in 2015 by Virginia Tech grads Christine and Aaron Holley, Wasserhound's specialty product is locally produced draft beers, inspired by Germany, with select availability for pack purchases to-go.

Those who don't visit for the beer may also enjoy the simplistic menu of pizzas, salads, bratwurst dishes, and breaded appetizers with a limited availability of gluten-free products.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention continues fundraising efforts to meet its $100,000 goal through December, 31, 2020. Over 80% of money donated goes toward research about risk factors and intervention methods, as well as treatment options for those affected.

Event organizer, Rachel Richmond, will also have $1 raffles during the evening to increase the excitement to end suicide now.

Not feeling comfortable dining in due to Covid? Consider ordering to-go between 5p and 10p or placing an online order for friends and family.

Wasserhounds is located at 1805 Laskin Road, Suite 102, Virginia Beach, 23454.
